Following on from Pizza On The Park gig in April this was also posted as being Sold Out on the website a week before the night - This time at The Pheasantry in Kings Road, London - It went really well and as Dee is still getting her own band together for 2011 she brought in the resident Sunday night band from Ronnie Scotts famous Jazz club for this one off, special night.
Kicking off with the relatively unknown song "Don't You" from the 1998 Smiles LP before going into two singles, 1994's "Things Will be Sweeter" from the album of the same name, followed by the top 3 hit "See The Day" from the LP "Shrine". Next up was "Walk Away From the Floor" and "It's Gonna Be Alright", both from "Things Will Be Sweeter".
Dee then made a tribute to the late Guru with a version of the hit single, "No Time To Play" from his Jazzmatazz project. It was approaching 2011 as "Set Your Spirit Free" started. During the song
the New Year came in, everyone was on their feet dancing. Dee took it down, did the New Year toast and took it back up whilst everyone was toasting each other, cheering and kissing!
It was a perfect end and the whole set ended on a real high. Dee came back with an encore, the single and cover of Judie Tzuke penned "Come Hell or Waters High" which reached number 46 back in 1986.
Setlist:- Don't You, Things Will be Sweeter, See The Day, Walk Away From the Floor, It's Gonna Be Alright, No Time To Play, Set Your Spirit Free, Come Hell or Waters High.
